The Level 2 Award in Food Safety Catering is for anyone working in a catering, manufacturing or retail setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled.
This course ensures that you and your staff meet UK food safety and hygiene training requirements. Upon completion of this course, students will understand the importance of food safety and gain knowledge of the systems, techniques and procedures involved in food safety. Students will learn how to minimise and control food safety risks, relating to personal hygiene, food storage, cooking and handling. As a result students will develop confidence and expertise in the area of food safety, delivering high quality standards and foods to customers.
The Level 2 Award in Food Safety Catering qualification is suitable for all individuals, in particular those who work with, or handle food regularly, from chefs to waiters. It is suitable for anyone working in the catering or hospitality sectors; hotels, cafes, restaurants, bars, schools, hospitals, kitchens etc.
This qualification should be refreshed every three years.
