Diploma in Leadership for Children’s Care, Learning and Development

The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Children’s Care, Learning and Development (Management) is a competence based qualification; that is it assesses the skills, knowledge and understanding a learner has within a work situation.

• This qualification consists of mandatory units & a selection of optional units.
• The qualification is made up of a number of units, each carrying a credit value.
• 90 credits are required for this qualification.
• The flexible nature of this qualification means that training can be delivered in unit-sized chunks, providing a flexible approach to learning and achievement.

The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Children's Care, Learning and Development (Management) qualification is suitable for those who work in a managerial role within the children and young people’s workforce.

Participants must be aged 19 or older. There are no entry barriers on grounds of gender, race, creed or previous academic attainment or learning. The units of this qualification describe the level and breadth of performance expected of anyone working in this area.
